What to expect from us at Autopia

Hello and thank you for scheduling your service with us. This page is here to show you our process and to help you know what to expect at your upcoming appointment with us!

If you are unable to keep an appointment, we will be happy to reschedule it for you. Just text, call or email us and we will take care of it.

Schedule now

Is this your first time here? Below are some things to expect and know once you arrive:

  • Where We Are - We are located at 9480 Lyndale Ave S. between 94th street and 98th street in Bloomington Minnesota right by the railroad tracks on the west side of the road. Our lot is best accessed coming from the north heading south. From the South you will need to perform a u turn.

  • Parking - We have a large lot in the front of our building. If spots are full just double park and bring us the keys and we will take it from there!

  • Loaner/Rental Cars - If you are scheduled for a loaner/rental car please bring your drivers license and insurance information with you. All loaners need to be pre arranged.

  • Shuttle Service - We also have a complimentary shuttle that runs from 7am to 3pm daily. Let us know if you would like us to give you a ride.

  • Appointment Times - Please know that our appointment times are a drop off only time slot and do not always indicate what time we will start the work on your vehicle. We do our best to look at every customers car ASAP however sometimes other customers vehicles need to be completed before we have a lift available to pull yours in.

  • Waiting For Repairs - We ask for a 2 hour minimum if you plan to wait here at the shop. We do our best to get you in and out as soon as possible. Unlike most quick lube services, our certified A level technicians are very detailed and thorough and we do not ask them to be ‘fast’ but to be efficient. We have a complimentary shuttle and often will take customers to Starbucks or McDonald's if you plan to wait in the area.

  3. Home Address and E-mail Address

  5. Pre authorized $ amount if we find an issue (this is optional but can be very helpful for streamlining a repair).
  6. Will you need a ride today in our shuttle and or will you need a ride back?

  • Check in your vehicle and assign it to the correct technician.

  • The technician will begin the inspection and or diagnosis process. They will fill out a digital inspection with pictures and notes along with notes for any diagnosis performed.

  • Your service advisor will take this information and build estimates as needed.

  • We will then share the inspection and estimate with you via email and text message. There will be a link for you to click on and see a full transparent breakdown of what was found and what is needed.

  • Next step in the process is for you.

3. You decide.

This is the point where you tell us what you would like to do.

  • Once you have opened the link and understand what is needed, you can:

  1. Approve the repairs and services you would like performed and decline repairs and services you would not like performed.
  2. Call to discuss and ask questions related to the findings.
  3. Expect a call from your service advisor who can help explain the results for you.

  • Be sure to let your advisor know if there are time constraints and or if you would like a loaner car during the repair process.

  • Once authorization has been received, we will proceed with ordering the appropriate parts and arrange for the repairs to be completed.

  • Time to fix your ride!

  • Our shuttle service will arrange for your pick up and bring you back to the shop.

  • Your vehicle will be repaired, washed and ready to go!

And just like that you are safely back on the road!

Our technicians asked us to make this next section so do them a favor and take a look below.

- Things that are helpful to the technician -

  • Make sure your vehicle fuel level is not empty please.

  • If you have wheel locks, let us know where to find the key.

  • Bring along any previous service records from other shops, they often help our process.

  • If the reason for your visit involves access to somewhere inside the vehicle, consider removing items that may be in their way.

  • If there are any special instructions for them, for example: “Don’t use the drivers window” or “Don't use the parking brake”. Please leave a note in the car and let your service advisor know at drop off.

  • Take anything out that you might need while your car is in the shop. Often people have to come back for garage door openers, keys, phone chargers and groceries in the trunk!
